Giveaway Numero Uno!

givweek1
Are you excited? I am! I am also a little nervous so we should just do this!

Combination Prize

The first giveaway is a three piece set I made a couple weeks ago. I had opened up my box of clothing cast-offs and there were two grey and white pant leg bottoms my mom had kindly donated to my cause. I was instantly inspired to make a folding clutch. (Pant legs make the perfect folding clutches.) I rooted through my stash and found some really nice grey lining fabric and when it came time to add the button I was inspired by some beautiful vintage red ones I had collected on a recent thrifting trip.

Singed Rose Pin
Red Zippered Change PurseRed Button Clutch

I love the colour combination here. the red button, red zipper and red beads on the flower pin just pop against the greys and white. The pieces were all super simple to make, but I am nervous about handing them off. I am relatively new at this sewing thing and I am a little self conscious about the quality. But, having said that, I really like these pieces and I hope you do too!

To be entered in the draw for these lovely items, I require only two things. The first is be a follower. The second is comment telling me your favourite colour combination(s). That is it, easy peazy lemon squeezy!

I will draw a winner on Thursday September 9th. And on Friday I will announce a new giveaway!
Draw closed, thanks so much for playing!

I think you did an awesome job. And I think you have a terrific imagination to see the new uses for old things.

My favorite colour combo? Definitely the pink/black/white kinda punkish mélange.

I definitely follow you...I love being inspired by your creativity.

My favourite colour combos (other than the grey/red that you've sewn up) is chocolate brown and blue. Isaac's room is done up like this and I just don't get sick of it. :) -Debbie

Well done! I really like the tip about turning pant legs into clutches, great idea. I am already a follower and my favourite colour combo is an old one, but a good one: navy and white (with cherry red shoes).

I do follow you and my favorite color combination is easy. I has been blue and green for years and years.

Fun, Fun, Fun! This clutch reminds me of my now 18 year old who is just much cooler than her mom.

I love color combinations that include shades of Orange. Is that odd? I dunno. I think orange is often under-used by very over stated. It says "Hey Look At Me!" or "Woot! Woot! I'm orange." It's a sunset with turquoise, a tangerine in my stocking, or a flavor in summer pops.

Give me orange and any color and I'll tell you a great combination!

:)

Very cute :) The color combo is so classic! My latest favorite color combo is using off white, robin's egg blue & a marigold color. I just LOVE how refreshing this combo is. My favs are changing all the time though so we'll see what my fav is next week :) ha!
