I made these earring last week for a family member's birthday. I had been itching to make a pair for awhile and her birthday was the perfect oportunity to try out my idea. And I have to say, it worked smashingly.
Would you like to make a pair for yourself? You would? Wonderful! I will share with you how it is done.
First, you must gather your supplies:
2 peacock feathers, similar in size
2 Earring hooks
2 Jump rings (I think the ones I used were 1/8" in diameter)
Mod Podge (Or white glue that dries clear)
Pliers
Once the sealer is dry they are ready to wear!~ Super simple and yet super fabulous! Thsi is normally where I would insert an action shot of myself or someone else wearing the goods but I haven't, so I guess I'll just have to make myself a pair! I can't wait!
Have fun crafting!
So wish to try it. I will try to find some peacock feathers :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I recently picked up some feathers, well you know, just because. I was going to make a hairband, but I really like the look of your earrings!
ReplyDeletePS I am not certain if the commenter above is from Toronto, but I found peacock feathers in all sorts of sizes at Sussmans Bridal at Queen W. & Spadina!
